Finalists in the FX Design Awards 2016

The Ideas Limited team were thrilled to be finalists for the FX International Design Awards 2016, with 2 entries in the Product of the Year category.  

The Awards are sponsored by FX, the essential magazine for the contract interior design industry, and the Ceremony was held on 30 November at The Grosvenor House Hotel, London.   

The shortlisted products included lighting, tables, office chairs and workplace solutions, as well as our Inclusive Modular Ticket Sales Counter and Chip and PIN Extendable Arm.  

Our Inclusive Modular Ticket Sales Counter is unique as it addresses both the customer experience and the requirements of a complex work environment. In our design process we include ergonomic and inclusive design factors and, because we accommodate the numerous standards from both employee and customer perspectives, we are recognised as the UK’s leading experts for these facilities.  

A feature of our ticket sales counters is the Chip and PIN Extendable Arm. This inclusive design initiative allows all customers to have easy access to the same Chip and PIN device at the same sales counter, removing the need for a separate ‘disabled’ counter.  

Whilst we weren’t outright winners on this occasion, we are privileged to have reached the finals. We also feel proud that our products are making a positive difference to large numbers of people, with installations at high footfall locations across the UK, including the new stations at London Bridge and Edinburgh Gateway.
